PADAWAN: A man was found dead in a roadside drain along Jalan Puncak Borneo here on Wednesday (July 1).
Police were alerted of the discovery by members of the public at around 1:00 pm, and a team from the district police headquarters was dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, authorities confirmed that the victim had died at the scene. A motorcycle believed to belong to the deceased was also found near the body.
His body has been taken to Sarawak General Hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.
Padawan Police Chief, Supt Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi, said the case is being classified as sudden death for now while awaiting post-mortem findings and the outcome of further investigations.
Members of the public have been urged not to speculate or spread unverified information regarding the incident.
