MIRI: A foreign man hurt his knees when his car suddenly skidded and rammed into a tree near Taman Awam here yesterday morning. According to sources, the man was on his way to Miri Hospital to pick up a friend who was discharged yesterday when the accident happened.
Eight firemen from the Miri Fire Station led by Abang Mohd Fhazil together with the Bomba Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) personnel rushed to the scene in response to an alert on the crash at 9.55am.
Initially, they recieved a report saying that the injured driver was trapped in his seat following the accident. However, upon arrival at the scene, they found the driver was not trapped but had injured his knees.
Bomba EMRS personnel immediately attended to the driver before taking him to Miri Hospital.
