KUCHING: The biggest modelling workshop to be held in East Malaysia called, “Ain’t Just Model 2017” will be held at Vivacity Megamall here from 20 to 25 June.

The workshop which aims to mould the next rising star in the modelling industry is being organised by SNEL CS Services and KSC Services Management Ain’t Just Model 2017.

According to a spokesman for the organisers, Nick Ng, the workshop is meant to equip as well as upskill the knowledge of potential talent in catwalk, personal hairdo and make-up, photo shooting and video shooting posing skills.

“Starting is hard but continuing is even harder. This applies to all industries especially in the celebrity industry. You might have outstanding features and body to start with in this industry but it is how you can continue to maintain yourself in the competitive field?

“Perhaps, a platform which ignites their inner potential of modelling; a platform which is equipped with the related knowledge before entering this competitive field as well as a platform where others can see your talent,” said Nick at a press conference at Level Up Fitness, Vivacity Megamall near here, yesterday.

The workshop will be conducted by two local celebrities Nina KSC Carron and Winson Lim.

Nina is a rising local celebrity from Kuching who is actively involved in commercial photography shooting, acting, and has won quite a number of beauty pageant titles.

Meanwhile, Winson is a passionate model who is actively involved in commercial shooting, modelling coaching as well as a fashion icon.

The six-day workshop included five days of training and a Grand Finale Show.

The judges are Nina, Winson, Wilson Tan, Winson Voon, Darren Tan, Brynn Lovett, Gary Cheok, Jacky Kam and Josh Yen.

The programme is going to be the most adventurous project which aims to hunt for the next rising star from East Malaysia.

The best performing participant of the modelling workshop will get an opportunity to take part in a commercial photo shooting and win recognition with the various prizes.

“To ensure the programme is going to be stunning and memorable, we are proud to have partners who are professional in each industry, printing partner Mass Design, Kelvin Chan Photography, Video Production The Scope and makeup artist, Kenny Yeo.

“Besides, a special thanks to our official venue sponsor Level Up Fitness for providing the venue for the workshop, Library for sponsoring our preview show and Vivacity Megamall for sponsoring the venue for ‘Ain’t Just Model 2017 Grand Showcase’,” said Nick Ng.

The registration forms are available at Vivacity Information Counter, Soul Dance Studio and through its website www.ain’tjustmodel.com, or call Welvitz Wong at tel: 016-5380762.
