SERIAN: Kampung Paon Gahat here will see continued development with various facilities for the comfort of the surrounding residents.

Deputy Minister of Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development Datuk Martin Ben said a total of RM2.1 million has been spent from 2016 to 2023 for the village.

“The significant allocation indicates the effort and cooperation of the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) and the villagers who want their village developed with various facilities.

“As a representative of the people, I also want the village area in Kedup to progress as other areas do,” he said during the Leaders with the People event in conjunction with the Rural Transformation Projects (RTP) launching ceremony and Pre-Gawai Celebration 2024 in Kampung Paon Gahat recently.

The Kedup assemblyman added that the planned projects include the construction of a new JKKK operations room with allocated RTP funds of RM200,000.

“In addition, the Greater Kuching Coordinated Development Agency (GKCDA) has approved an allocation of RM600,000 to build agricultural roads in Miasu.

“The progress of development with comprehensive and satisfactory facilities such as roads, electricity supply, well-maintained water supply, and telecommunications compared to previous years is an achievement to be proud of.

“I hope the residents will continue to cooperate and support the JKKK to enhance the development of the village,” he said.
