SONG: A local man sustained a leg injury after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a lorry along Jalan Song-Kanowit near Sipan Bridge this morning (June 30).
The victim, whose identity was not known, sustained an injury to his left leg and was taken to hospital for further treatment.
Firefighters from Song station were dispatched to the scene, about 4 km away, following an emergency call at 9.48 am.
Upon arrival, they found the injured rider already at the roadside under the care of paramedics. As the victim was not trapped, no rescue operation was required.
Firefighters only assisted paramedics in transferring the victim into the ambulance before it departed for the hospital.
Meanwhile, the lorry driver was unhurt in the incident.
Once the situation was deemed safe, the operation ended at 10.40 am.
