KUCHING: A 51-year-old local motorcyclist was killed in a self-accident on Jalan Tawi Sli this morning (Dec 27).
Kuching District Police chief ACP Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah said the incident occurred at 8.30 am when the victim was travelling from the Mile 3 roundabout towards Jalan Datuk Bandar Mustapha.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.
Mohd Farhan added that the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
Meanwhile, the police urged members of the public who have information regarding this incident to contact the Traffic Investigation Officer, Inspector Muhammad Amirul Azami Ahmad Rasol, at 016-8593994 / 082-259900 or report to the nearest police station.
