KUCHING: A three-day fitness, wellness and fundraising event, ‘Move For Gold 2026’, will kick off tomorrow (Friday, July 3), bringing the community together to support children and families affected by childhood cancer while celebrating the Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society’s (SCCS) 25th anniversary.
Organised by DefyLAB Sdn Bhd in support of SCCS, the event will run from July 3 to 5 across two venues – The Hills and Pullman Kuching – featuring a mix of fitness challenges, wellness programmes, and family-friendly activities.
DefyLAB invited members of the public to participate with their families and friends, saying every show of support would help strengthen the community and demonstrate solidarity with children undergoing cancer treatment.

“Whether participating in the activities, supporting GoBald, cheering on the Golden Loop 5KM Charity Run participants or simply spending time at the festival, every show of support helps strengthen our community and demonstrates solidarity with children and families facing childhood cancer,” it said in a statement today.
Among the public highlights at The Hills are the Busy Goose Market 3.0, which runs throughout the three-day event, the GoBald 2026 programme on Saturday where participants shave their heads in solidarity with children battling cancer, and Sunday’s Mini Jungle Warrior Challenge, interactive workshops and other family-oriented activities.
At Pullman Kuching, ticketed programmes include the Fitness & Wellness Festival on Friday and the CrossFit Challenge on Saturday.
The event will conclude on Sunday with the Golden Loop 5KM Charity Run, followed by the SCCS 25th Anniversary Celebration Dinner, marking the society’s milestone of supporting children with cancer and their families across Sarawak.
Over the past 25 years, SCCS has assisted more than 1,800 families through financial aid, accommodation, counselling and long-term care programmes, made possible through the support of healthcare professionals, volunteers, donors and community partners.
‘Move For Gold 2026’ is supported by Mubadala Energy as title sponsor and Ibraco Berhad as the Fitness & Wellness Festival partner, in collaboration with Interhill Group, Pullman Kuching and The Hills.
