One of six rural projects in Kakus completed

BINTULU: A total of six Rural Transformation Projects (RTP) have been approved within the Kakus constituency, out of which one has been completed while the construction of two RTP are still underway.

Minister in the Premier’s Department Datuk John Sikie Tayai said three of the RTP would be implemented soon.

These three projects involved the upgrading of two roads at Rumah Segalang Selitut Tatau and Rumah Ambrose Uking besides a covered walkway at SK Tatau.

“The completed RTP involved the road upgrading of Jalan Kubur Muput Komuniti Sungai Muput,Tatau, he said.

Speaking during the ‘Ngiling Bidai’ at Rumah Dilang, Nanga Setengin Ulu Anap Tatau yesterday, Sikie also disclosed that the state government has approved allocation worth RM15million to repair a section of road to Bukit which collapsed recently.

Meanwhile the RTP project at Rumah Jackson Rentap, Ulu Anap Tatau and Rumah Gelimai, Setusur Anap are currently underway.
