KUALA LUMPUR: The decision to work together with Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) is driven by the goal of preserving unity and for the betterment of Sarawakians, said Datuk Henry Harry Jinep.

The Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) deputy president said the decision by PSB to work together in support of the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) state government is a very good and positive development.

“This is something good for GPS because now we are on the right track for Sarawak to be a developed state by the year 2030.

“This is also good for the people of Sarawak because it means there will be less or no more politicking,” he told members of the media after the memorandum of understanding (MOU) ceremony between PDP and PSB here yesterday.

The Task Biru assemblyman pointed out that this milestone should serve as a good reference for the six states that will be having the state election soon.

“The event that took place today shows how the opposition has realised that the GPS state government is on the right track to bring Sarawak to become a developed state with various initiatives and policies as well as good governance.

“Moreover, the people of Sarawak also realise this, thus they can look forward to their beloved state becoming a prosperous and developed with strong unity and political stability,” he said.
