MIRI : The monthly pool single elimination tournament hosted by Kelab Sukan Billard and Snooker Pelita received an overwhelming response with 48 cueists from all over Miri and Bintulu division taking part in the one-day tournament yesterday.
The event was held at David’s pool at Pelita Commercial Centre here.

It was among 24 programmes organised in conjunction with Miri May Fest 2022 to commemorate Miri City’s 17th anniversary.
“We also have Filipino cueists and Sabahans whom are residing and working here,” said the Sarawak Billiards Snooker and Sports Federation vice president David Tan.

He disclosed that many events were in the pipeline including the Sarawak Open this year.

“We are hoping to revive the Sarawak Open by the end of this year to attract more international cueists from abroad,” he said.
