MIRI: As a multiracial nation, the rakyat must be united in protecting unity and prosperity, says Sibuti MP Lukanisman Awang Sauni.
Speaking at the opening of Borneo Evangelical Mission Harvest Church Sungai Dalam, Lusut on Sunday (July 10), he said places of worship like churches played a vital role in bringing people together and building a strong sense of unity.
“Regardless of your belief or religion, we must continue to unite and help those in need to ensure no one is left behind, especially post Covid-19, with many still struggling with new challenges, especially the rise in food prices.”
Lukanisman added that as an elected representative, the rakyat’s interests had always been his priority.
At the event, Lukanisman announced a grant amounting to RM20,000 to Borneo Evangelical Mission Harvest Church Sungai Dalam, Lusut.
Also present was Cr Jeffery Phang, who was representing Minister for Transport Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin.
