SIBU: Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) has made significant contributions to both Sarawak and Malaysia, according to Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Patinggi Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
Zahid pointed out the notable efforts of the party’s leaders, including its former President, the late Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr James Jemut Masing, and current leaders.
“PRS is very close to my heart because the late Tan Sri James was a dear friend of mine. Datuk Joseph Salang Gandum was also my colleague back when we were both in Parliament.
“I am confident that his prospects for advancement are very bright, especially with Datuk Seri Aaron Ago Dagang, who is the National Unity Minister. Various programmes have been organised throughout Malaysia under his ministry,” he said.
He made these remarks in his speech at the Pre-Gawai celebration organised by PRS at Kingwood Hotel here last night (May 18).
Zahid added PRS’s contributions as a political party are felt across Malaysia and should be a source of pride for the party.
