KUCHING: As the world faces the uncertainty, armies are always ready to face any situation that threatens the safety and the interest of the country.

Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap Yau Sin said this as the armies are the main core of the federal government in making the country stay protected from any threats.

“At the same time, the armies are also seen to always stay ready to assist other security agencies and public authorities in ensuring the wellbeing of the public alongside providing assistance when natural disasters hits the country,” he said this in his statement after attending the break-of-fast ceremony at As-Syuhada mosque, Semenggok camp.

He also added that overall, the armies are seen to always prioritise professionalism and trust in implementing their duties and responsibilities.

“This is to make sure the safety and defence of our countries is always on its highest level,” he added.

He also hoped that throughout the month of Ramadan and beyond, the relationship among the people in Kota Sentosa constituency will continue to be strengthened through and through.

“Let’s continue to stay united, help each other out for the goodness of everybody,” he added.

During the break-of-fast ceremony, Yap handed 210 boxes of kurma (dates), 28 bags of rice and also a grant of RM5, 000 to the committees of the mosque to organise religious activities.
