TEBEDU: Twenty-seven representative from the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKKs) and 15 members of the Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs) in Tebedu Constituency received the Minor Rural Project (MRP) funds recently.

The handover ceremony was officiated by Tebedu assemblyman Dr Simon Sinang Bada at the Tebedu Community Hall here.

“Each JKKK and PTA from primary schools in my area received around RM5,000 each while the PTAs from secondary schools received an allocation of around RM10,000 each,” he said.

Simon hoped the funds would enable the JKKKs and PTAs to hold programmes they  had planned.

“I also hope that  the donations in the form of incentives for students who further their studies in the institutions of higher education will motivate them in  their studies,” he added.

Also present at the ceremony were Tebedu District Officer Joseph Liaw and Pemanca Kane Mung.
