KANOWIT: The Sarawak Economic Planning Unit (EPU) has approved an allocation of RM100,000 for Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Nanga Ngungun to repair its dining hall.
According to Ngemah assemblyman Anyi Jana, the project will be carried out using the Rural Transformation Project (RTP) grant under the Ngemah constituency.
“I hope that the PIBG (Parents-Teacher Association), school administrators, and parents will always work closely together for the development and excellence of the school,” he said.
He was speaking at the 2024 Pre-Gawai celebration organised by SK Nanga Ngungun PIBG at the school hall on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, on the Gawai Day celebration, Anyi hoped the Dayak community would celebrate the festival with harmony and gratitude.
“Through the tradition of visiting each other, strong unity within the local community could be fostered,” he said.
He also allocated a Minor Rural Project (MRP) grant amounting of RM5,000 to the school PIBG for the implementation of their annual activities.
Also present was PIBG SK Nanga Ngungun president Edwin Ait Kupon.
