BINTULU: A 74-year-old man created history when he cycled alone for 270 kilometres from Jalan Tanjung Kidurong, Bintulu to Miri last Friday (Dec 25).

Tinggal Lamudin, also known as Pakcik Awang, is a member of the Al Mustaqin Cycling Team of Kidurong People’s Housing Plan (RPR).

Hashim Morshidi, exco member of the cycling team, said that according to his children, Pakcik Awang departed alone from his house as early as 4.30am at Jalan Kidurong and cycled through Bintulu/Miri coastal road.

He managed to reach his children’s house in Miri at 6.30pm.
