KUCHING: Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) has earned international recognition after winning the Overall Best Poster Award at a prestigious global occupational health conference held in Lima, Peru recently.
According to the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), the award was presented for the hospital’s work on Occupational Safety, Health and Risk Management, showcased at a scientific conference organised by the Scientific Committee of Occupational Medicine under the International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH).
The conference brought together experts and professionals in occupational medicine, safety engineering, industrial hygiene and workplace health from 56 countries.
“This achievement reflects Sarawak General Hospital’s dedication to maintaining high standards in workplace safety, employee health protection and risk management.
“It also affirms that the hospital’s occupational risk management practices and quality performance meet global benchmarks, strengthening its commitment to ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for healthcare personnel and patients,” the UKAS report said.
