SPAOH: The BSGB Spaoh Autoshow and Gathering 2026 has boosted tourism and local economic activity by drawing large crowds and automotive enthusiasts from across Sarawak.

Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said programmes of this nature benefited local businesses while promoting Spaoh as a destination with tourism potential.

“We hope programmes like this will help local businesses grow and attract more visitors to Spaoh.

“Today, I am pleased to see such an encouraging turnout,” he said.

The Bukit Saban assemblyman said the event should continue serving as a platform to promote a positive, ethical and disciplined automotive culture among vehicle owners.

He added that the Sarawak government would continue supporting the programme so it could grow into an annual event that benefited the community and contributed to Spaoh’s development.

Meanwhile, Borneo Static Gladion Brigade (BSGB) president Taming Sari Wahit said the gathering successfully brought together automotive communities from throughout Sarawak in the spirit of unity and camaraderie.

He said the event was more than a vehicle exhibition, describing it as a platform to showcase creativity in vehicle modification, strengthen ties among automotive enthusiasts and stimulate the local economy through the participation of local entrepreneurs and traders.

Organised by the BSGB in collaboration with the Spaoh Sub-District Office, Betong District Council and the Bukit Saban constituency service centre, the programme featured the participation of nine automotive clubs from across Sarawak.
