Led by State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, the visit was to convey heartfelt condolences and sympathy to Dr Sim and his family over their loss, as well as to honour the late Lim’s lifelong contributions to Sarawak.
Abu Bakar, who was accompanied by his wife Datuk Baduyah Bujang, also offered words of comfort to Dr Sim and his family members on behalf of the SCS.
Among those present were Sarawak Attorney-General Datuk Seri Saferi Ali, State Financial Secretary Datuk Seri Dr Wan Lizozman Wan Omar, Deputy State Secretary (Administration) Datuk Buckland Bangik and Deputy State Secretary (Operation) Datuk Hii Chang Kee.
Abu Bakar’s presence, together with other senior state officers, reflected the Sarawak government’s deep appreciation for the late Lim’s legacy and contributions.
It also demonstrated the SCS’s solidarity and commitment to standing with Dr Sim and his family during this period of mourning.
Lim, aged 83, passed away on Monday at the family home surrounded by her loved ones.
