ASAJAYA: Swift action by the people of Kampung Tambirat Hilir here saved a house from being razed to the ground.
Firemen from Asajaya were despatched to the scene after receiving an emergency call on the fire around 2.35pm.
On arrival, the team found that the fire had been put out by the local folk.
No casualties were reported as no one was home at the time of the incident. The fire had caused 10 percent damages to the house’s ceiling and a television cabinet.
The cause of the fire has not been ascertained.
