KUCHING: Former Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud has brought numerous developments to Sarawak during his tenure as the chief minister.
National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang said the late leader served the state for many years and brought significant development to Sarawak.
“As I have been in the political arena and people’s representative since the year 2000, we met and discussed development projects in the state,” he said when met by the media after he paid his last respects to Taib at the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) complex here today.
Extending his condolences to Taib’s family, he described the former TYT as a great individual.
“As a person, he is someone who has great perception on matters regarding Sarawak… That’s why he held the positions of chief minister of Sarawak and head of state for so many years,” he said.
