KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud was paid a courtesy visit by Yayasan Perpaduan Sarawak deputy chairman Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr George Chan, along with YPS chief executive Datuk Aloysius Dris at Demak Jaya here.
The purpose of the visit was to extend an invitation to Taib, who serves as the YPS chairman, to the certificate handover ceremony for participants of the Sape Camp on June 22.
The camp, themed “Sape Camp 2023: Unity Without Borders”, is scheduled to take place from June 19 to 22.
Furthermore, YPS took the opportunity to inform the committee members and propose organising the Unity Cup during the Baram Regatta in the future, and they extended an invitation to Taib to attend the programme.
