MIRI: Police have arrested two local men suspected of involvement in a break-in at a bistro in Marina here.
Miri Police Chief, ACP Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah, said the suspects were detained at about 12:15 pm along Jalan Taman Wah Shin, Mosjaya, following information received.
“Police also seized items believed to have been stolen to assist in investigations,” he said.
Both suspects are being held at the Miri Central Police Station lock-up.
The case is being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code.
Farhan said police would not compromise on property-related crimes and would continue to intensify enforcement and monitoring in public areas.
He also urged those with information on criminal activities to come forward and assist police.
