KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar attended the Aidilfitri Sunnah prayer at the Sarawak State Mosque here today (Mar 31).
He was welcomed by the Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
The prayer, led by Sarawak’s Chief Imam Fadhilah Datuk Mustapha Kamal Ahmad Fauzi, saw the participation of more than 5,000 Muslims.
Following the prayer, congregants listened to an Aidilfitri sermon titled Hakikat Kemenangan Aidilfitri (The True Meaning of Aidilfitri’s Victory).
After performing the prayer, Wan Junaidi is set to host the Aidilfitri Open House at the Astana Negeri Sarawak from 10 am to 4 pm.
Meanwhile, Abang Johari is hosting his Aidilfitri Open House at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) on the first day from 10 am to 3 pm, and on the second day of Raya from 10 am to 2 pm.
