KOTA SAMARAHAN: Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Sarawak inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with an organisation called “Pertubuhan Keturunan dan Waris Pengiran Sarawak (PKWPS)” today (Mar 11) at UiTM Samarahan Campus 2.
The MoU was signed by UiTM Sarawak Rector Professor Datuk Dr Jamil Hamali and PKWPS chairman Awang Indra Awang Mostapha.
The aims of the MoU are to strengthen, promote, and expand the history of the lineage of Sarawak Pengiran, their culture and customs and to preserve and gazette historical areas such as houses, palaces, and tombs related to Sarawak Pengiran.
Also present were UiTM Sarawak Deputy Rector (Students Affairs) Associate Professor Dr Mohammad Isa Mohamadin, PKWPS deputy secretary Awang Mansor Awang Abu Othman, other senior management members of UiTM Sarawak, and members of PKWPS.
