KUCHING: Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Corporate Affairs, Information and Sarawak Public Communication Unit – UKAS), Datuk Abdullah Saidol on Thursday visited BERNAMA Sarawak photographer, Razali Nordin, at Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) here.

During the visit, which was also joined by UKAS Director, Awang Putrayusrie Awang Redzuan, Abdullah presented a personal contribution as well as a donation from the UKAS Welfare and Recreation Club as a gesture of support and concern.

Abdullah said the contribution hopefully can help ease Razali’s burden while also encouraging him to remain strong in facing his health challenges.

“Visits and contributions like this reflect our concern and appreciation for media personnel who play an important role in Sarawak, especially in disseminating information and bridging understanding between the public and the government,” he said.

He also expressed his hope that Razali will recover soon and return to work as usual.

Razali, 54, who has served more than 20 years in journalism, is currently receiving treatment for complications involving a heart valve condition, kidney stones, kidney disorder, and diabetes.

In addition, he also visited the child of a UKAS staff member, Rais Sanusi, who is being treated at SGH due to respiratory problems.
