KUCHING: A group of 36 underprivileged children and their minders from Nur Murni care centre attended a breaking-of-fast organised by Yayasan Perpaduan Sarawak (YPS) at ICOM Square here.
During the event, the children received festive goodies and duit raya tolighten up their preparation for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
Manager of YPS, Roslin Latip said the event was in line with the foundation’s vision and mission to nurture the unity and harmony in Sarawak.
The breaking-of-fast is an annual programme by YPS for the less fortunate, especially children and sharing the blessings of the occasion and spreading the spirit of togetherness among the community.
YPS strongly believes that the younger generation should be exposed to the act of kindness and care in accordance with the state government’s plan to build a thriving society where everyone enjoys economic prosperity and social inclusion.
