KUCHING: Kuching Waterfront Hotel is mourning the passing of its beloved resident mascot, Oyen, who had become a familiar and cherished presence among guests and staff over the years.
In a Facebook statement, the hotel described Oyen as a special part of the hotel family who brought comfort, joy and countless smiles to visitors and team members alike.
Oyen was once a stray cat living around the hotel compound before being taken in and cared for by the hotel team, eventually becoming a well-loved face among regular guests and the local community.
“He will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him,” the statement read.
