KUCHING: All food operators under the Miri City Council’s jurisdiction must make sure food handlers are to wear face masks at all times and practise good hygiene.
Miri City Council mayor Adam Yii said all the food operators must comply with the council’s instructions and licensing conditions to ensure food handlers are equipped with face masks including using proper and clean attire.
“Food operators must also provide hot water for utensils and maintain cleanliness of the premise in this new normal due to Covid-19,” he said in a notice today (July 13).
He said food operators that have yet to obtain a valid licence from the council must quickly to do.
“Please take necessary action to obtain such relevant licences and comply with the council’s requirements,” said Yii.
