BINTULU: Oil was accidently spilled along a road near Kampung Asyakirin here last night (15 Feb).
Eight firemen were tasked to clean up the 15-metre-long spill after receiving a public alert at 8.40pm.
A statement from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre (PGO) stated that the team was immediately deployed to the scene as the oil made the road slippery.
The team which successfully covered the spill using sand ended their task at 8.55pm.
