KUCHING: Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) won the Gold Award in the Team Excellence Convention for Sabah and Sarawak Region 2018 at The Pacific Sutera Hotel, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Held from August 1 to 2, the event provided a platform for organisations to introduce creative ideas and innovation, improve efficiency and effective work processes, reduce cost and wastage, save time and enhance quality of products and services.

Apart from that, it is a platform for various groups in the private and public sectors to enhance their organisational presentations by way of sharing innovative ideas to improve productivity.

Organised by the Malaysian Productivity Corporation (MPC), this convention was participated by DBKU’s staff under the Infrastructure Services Department, Development and Landscape Department as well as Community Services Department.

The winning plaque and certificate were handed over to DBKU Mayor Datuk Abang Abdul Wahap Abang Julai in his office here yesterday. In a short speech, Wahap hoped that the victory could be a source of encouragement for other DBKU employees.
