MIRI: Deputy Minister of Women, Family, Welfare, Community Wellbeing and Childhood Development Datuk Rosey Yunus said that the implementation of neighbourhood Watch Committees (KRT) programmes had helped promote community stability, interracial unity and public safety.

Thus, she added, it is crucial for the people to have use information on the functions and roles of the KRT and its roles in keeping the peace and prosperity of the neighbourhood.

Speaking at the launching of KRT programme held in Bekenu yesterday, she disclosed, that the programme was aimed at strengthening unity among the multi-racial and multi -religions population.

Also present were the State Department of National Unity and Integration (JPNIN) director Dirwana Azool and chairman of KRT kampung Dagang Bekenu Sarbini Salleh.
