LAWAS: Residents here are assured of continued development and progress for the northern township.
Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan said various projects are currently being implemented for the benefit of the community in Lawas.
He said among the projects include the first phase of the Sarawak-Sabah Link Road, a new airport and utility facilities including internet connectivity.
“We are also paying attention to other needs such as health and education.
“Maktab Rendah Sains Mara (MRSM) will be constructed while the construction of the Centre of Technical Excellence Sarawak (CENTEXS) is almost ready,” he said when speaking at the opening ceremony of Gong Xi Fa Cai 2023 Bazaar here.
On the event, the Bukit Sari assemblyman said it was a good effort for the community to work together towards enlivening the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations.
Also present were Lawas MP Datuk Henry Sum Agong and Lawas District Officer Ladin Atok.
