MIRI: The “2023 Earth Day Invest in Our Planet” blood donation drives, received sponsorship from Sarawak Oil Palm Berhad (SOPB) and Miri City Council (MCC).
For the event, SOPB sponsored 150 bottles of Merris Cooking Oil, consisting of two different flavours, namely red palm oil classic and natural vegetable oil classic.
The blood donation drives is jointly organised by the Malaysian Red Crescent Miri Branch Blood Donor Recruitment Committee, JCI Miri and Northern Sarawak Journalists Association.
The event is slated to be held on April 23 (Sunday) from 8.30 am to 1 pm at MRC Miri Branch in Jalan Bulan Sabit.
The purpose of the blood donation is to help Miri Hospital Blood Bank to stock up more blood during Raya Festive season and to ensure that Miri Hospital blood bank to have sufficient blood supply.
The event is targeting to collect 100 pines of blood.
Every successful blood donor will receive certificate of appreciations, a pack of 1kg rice, a bottle of Merris brand cooking oil, a set of face mask, snacks and packet drink and eco bag.
