Simunjan fire victims receive generous support and aid

SIMUNJAN: In the aftermath of the devastating fire that engulfed Kampung Masjid Sebuyau, a ray of hope shines upon the affected victims as they are embraced by the generosity and compassion of concerned individuals.

In a heartwarming gesture, Sarawak Minister for Utility and Telecommunication, Datuk Julaihi Narawi extended a helping hand to the two affected families.

Representing the Sebuyau MP, Penghulu Abu Seman Suhaili delivered food baskets to the victims last yesterday (May 21).

Julaihi expressed his hope that the affected families would remain patient in the face of this ordeal and that the food assistance provided would alleviate some of the burdens they are currently facing due to the fire.

Additionally, Batang Lupar MP Mohamad Shafizan Kepli allocated financial assistance to the victims as well.

The Samarahan Social Welfare Department (JKM) also stepped in to provide assistance in the form of food supplies and kitchen equipment.

Also present were Sebuyau District Officer Ayuradiman Bujang, Sebuyau Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) women’s wing chief Lilawati Brahim and Kampung Masjid Sebuyau community leader Abang Spawi Abang Junaidi.
