BINTANGOR: A teenager died on the spot in a motorcycle-car collision along Jalan Bintangor-Sarikei yesterday (June 4).
Meradong police chief DSP Sekam said the accident happened around 2
pm when the 19-year-old youth was said to be overtaking a car in front of him.
An oncoming car could not avoid the victim in time and it led to the head-on collision.
“The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
“His body was taken to the Sarikei Hospital for a post-mortem,” he said.
The driver was reportedly unhurt in the accident.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
