BINTULU: Quick actions by tenants managed to extinguish a small storeroom fire in a house at Kampung Bukit Orang here this morning (June 17).
The incident happened around 7.49am and involved kitchen utensils in the room on the second floor of the house.
It was reported that the fire was swiftly put out by the tenants before firefighters arrived at the scene.
Firefighters from Bintulu station were dispatched to the scene after receiving an emergency call at 7.49am.
Upon arrival, the team conducted safety inspections to ensure the situation was indeed safe and there was no risk of reignition.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
