SIBU: Regas EV Auto has officially opened the doors to its newly established dealership showroom in Sibu, featuring enhanced facilities and services catering to the BYD brand to further enrich the EV ownership experience for customers in East Malaysia.
According to Regas Auto’s representative Principal Dealer Brandon Juan, the newly launched Regas EV Auto Sibu showroom welcomes customers with a new space featuring a customer lounge and bar where owners can relax while their vehicles are being serviced.
“Adding to the appeal, the showroom can display up to three BYD models, allowing customers to browse around the showroom. Additionally, there is a handover lounge equipped with an AC charger.
“For the after-sales department, the dealership provides servicing, maintenance, and parts. The customer parking area will soon be equipped with a 60kW DC charging facility, further enhancing accessibility to charging infrastructure in Sibu.”
He said this in his speech at the launch of the 541.8-square-metre (sqm) BYD showroom which was officiated by Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) chairman Clarence Ting Ing Horh at 35, Jalan Lanang here, Friday (Nov 29).
“Today, we reaffirm our commitment to making Sibu a greener and more environmentally conscious town, aligning perfectly with the vision of the Sarawak government to develop a low-carbon economy.
“By introducing high-performance EVs like BYD and expanding the charging infrastructure, we are giving Sarawakians the confidence to adopt EVs, knowing they can travel long distances effortlessly and sustainably,” he said.
He emphasised that BYD proudly stands as the world’s No. 1 new energy vehicle brand in Malaysia, exemplifying its commitment to innovation, reliability, and sustainability.
“Regas EV Auto’s achievement since the start of its operation includes the registration of 500 EV units across Sarawak by the end of 2024. Every EV on the road represents a step closer to a cleaner, greener future for our communities,” he said.
He also said that Regas EV Auto will introduce the BYD SEALION 7, a performance SUV with premium styling which comes in two variants: Premium and Performance.
“Both variants are available in Cosmos Black, Aurora White, Atlantis Grey, and Shark Grey,” he added.
He said that as part of the BYD SEALION 7 launch in East Malaysia, customers who place their bookings will receive a complimentary home charger, provided registration is completed by Dec 31, 2024.
