KUCHING: Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian has been re-elected as president of the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) during the party’s Triennial Delegates Conference (TDC) held here yesterday (Nov 29).
At the close of nominations for the party’s top five positions, Dr. Sim expressed gratitude and congratulated his fellow comrades on their reappointments.
“Congratulations to Datuk Seri Richard Riot and Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin for being re-elected as deputy presidents, Datuk Sebastian Ting as secretary-general and Datuk Francis Harden Hollis as treasurer.
“Thanks also for the support, solidarity and loyalty for re-electing me as party president of SUPP for the 2025-2027 term,” he said in a Facebook post.
Dr Sim, who is also the Public Health, Housing, and Local Government Minister, called on party members to continue to serve the party and play their part for Sarawak.
“SUPP in 2024 is truly very different from the once disunited party of 2011.
“Let’s continue to play our role in nation-building for Sarawak and Sarawakians, aligned with our party’s mission and vision since 1959,” he said.
