KUCHING: Kia Market transformed into a lively hub of creativity and community spirit when JCI Batu Kawa hosted its impactful event, Recycle with Arts, on April 26 and 27 .

The two-day programme was designed to spark children’s imagination through artistic expression, and to raise greater awareness about the importance of recycling and reusing everyday materials.

“In a time where environmental issues demand our attention, we believe in educating the younger generation through fun, engaging platforms,” said JCI Batu Kawa in a statement.

Recycle with Arts is our way of showing that creativity and sustainability can go hand in hand.”

Children eagerly took part in crafting artworks using recyclable items such as plastic bottles, paper and cardboard.

Their creations reflected not only vibrant imagination but also a growing understanding of environmental responsibility.

Beyond promoting eco-consciousness, the event also served a charitable mission.

All proceeds from Recycle with Arts were channelled to Project O.D.A, a fund supporting orphans, the disabled and animals.
