KUCHING: A woman escaped with injuries after she lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a road divider at the Mile 3 underpass.
A State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) spokesperson said the department received the distress call at 1.29am early yesterday morning.
Firefighters from Batu Lintang were despatched to the scene. Upon arrival at the crash site they found an overturned vehicle.
According to him, the Sedan car driven by the 32-year-old victim from Arang Road was making her way towards Jalan Batu Kawa from Rock Road, when she lost control of her vehicle crashed into the road divider followed by a lamp post before her car overturned at the opposite lane.
Passers-by immediately came to her aid and pulled the victim out of the vehicle, she was later given early medical treatment before she was taken to the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for further treatment.
Firefighters then proceeded in carrying out their rescue works. The operation ended at 2.39am.
