KUCHING: The late Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang was a source of strength and unwavering support to Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, said Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi.
He described her passing as a great loss not only to the Premier’s family but also to the people of Sarawak who admired her warm and compassionate character.
“She was someone who truly gave strength to the Premier. As the saying goes, ‘behind every successful man is a woman’ — and that holds true in her case,” he said.
He told reporters this after officiating a ballot draw ceremony for the Federal Roads Maintenance Implementation Programme here today.
Nanta, who is the Kapit MP, recalled Juma’ani’s presence at various official programmes alongside the Premier, even in remote rural areas such as his constituency, noting her dedication and concern for the well-being of the people.
“We feel the loss of someone we deeply respected,” he said.
In a separate Facebook post, Nanta conveyed his condolences to the Premier and family, describing the late Juma’ani as a kind-hearted individual who was close to the people.
“Her passing is not only a loss to the family but also to all Sarawakians who knew her noble character and people-oriented nature.
“May her soul be blessed, her sins forgiven, and her place among the righteous,” he wrote.
