SIBURAN: Quick action by supermarket employees along Jalan Batu 10 here prevented a fire from spreading to nearby product display racks today.
The incident occurred around 2:30 pm when a rack of assorted pillows suddenly caught fire.
Employees immediately grabbed fire extinguishers and managed to douse the flames, preventing further damage to the premises.
Firefighters from the Siburan and Kota Sentosa stations, who were deployed to the scene, later carried out overhaul works using a hose reel to ensure the fire was completely extinguished.
No injuries or casualties were reported.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
