Sibu Anti-Drug Squad promotes healthy living through badminton

SIBU: The Sibu Anti-Drug Squad (SADS) carried out a badminton activity in conjunction with its 5K Campaign at the Kampung Nyabor Malay Club Hall (MUC) here on Wednesday.

SADS is a volunteer entity under the National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) that acts as an agent of change in the community to spread awareness about the dangers of drug abuse.

According to its press release, the healthy lifestyle practice activity through badminton was held in an atmosphere full of volunteer spirit.

“The objective of the activity was to help promote healthy lifestyle practices and the importance of early prevention actions.

“This activity organised is our seriousness and commitment together with the AADK leadership in strengthening the prevention approach in a holistic, inclusive and community-based manner.

“This year’s theme, ‘Drug Prevention is a Shared Responsibility’, is translated into reality through the involvement of anti-drug volunteers who work together to make the ‘Better Prevention’ agenda a success,” the press release added.

SADS welcomes the community in Sibu to participate in this badminton activity together in the future.

Also present at the activity were SADS Secretary, Gloria Umi Dick, coordinator Nasir Mohammad, treasurer Nur Najwa Yusuf, and other members.
