KUCHING: Borneo Development Corporation (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd (BDC) extended its humanitarian support to flood victims by distributing 250 KFC meal packs to evacuees at the Temporary Evacuation Centre (PPS) Rantau Panjang on Friday.
The food relief was delivered to families sheltering at SJK (C) Chung Hua Batu Kawa Hall, one of the relief centres activated following the recent flash floods that hit the area.
The distribution was conducted by the head of corporate services and strategy division of BDC, representing the board of directors, chief executive officer of BDC and management.
The timely contribution aims to ease the burden on affected families and provide immediate sustenance to those displaced by the disaster.
BDC’s initiative underscores the corporation’s ongoing commitment to supporting local communities during times of crisis, demonstrating its dedication to social responsibility and communal solidarity.
Through such efforts, the company seeks to provide comfort and ensure that the basic needs of evacuees are met during this difficult time.
