TANJUNG MANIS: The Integrated Administration Centre (IAC) here is expected to begin operations soon, serving as a one-stop hub that brings together multiple Sarawak Government services under one roof to ease public access.

Sarawak State Secretary, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, said the 15-storey administrative complex has obtained its Occupation Permit (OP), confirming that the building is fully completed and ready for occupancy.

“The issuance of the OP shows that the building is ready to be used. Discussions and meetings have been held, and several government agencies, including the Tanjung Manis District Office, will relocate here in the near future,” he said during an official visit to the IAC on Thursday.

Abu Bakar said the modern facility will house key Sarawak Government agencies, including the Tanjung Manis District Office, the Rajang Delta Development Agency (RADDA), and the Matu Daro District Council (MDMD), as well as electricity and water bill payment counters and Sarawak Service outlets.

“With these agencies centralised at a strategic and well-equipped location, the public will no longer need to travel between different offices to access services. This will clearly provide greater convenience and benefits to the people,” he said.

He added that the development of the integrated administrative centre reflects the Sarawak Government’s initiative to ensure civil servants, particularly those serving in rural areas, are able to work in a more conducive, comfortable and efficient environment, enabling better service delivery to the public.

Abu Bakar also noted that similar administrative centres are planned for other areas across Sarawak, in line with the state government’s efforts to strengthen the public service delivery system statewide.

Present during the event was Deputy Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment, Datuk Len Talif Salleh, who is also the Kuala Rajang state assemblyman.

He expressed his appreciation to the Sarawak Government for providing a comprehensive and comfortable administrative facility for the Tanjung Manis district.

He also thanked Abu Bakar for making the visit, noting that it would help expedite the commencement of operations at the Sarawak Government’s administrative centre in Tanjung Manis.
