KUCHING: A symbolic presentation ceremony for contributions to the SARAWAKfm Al-Quran Tadarus Programme was held as a mark of appreciation and support for agencies involved in making the annual programme a success.
The ceremony was officiated by Deputy Director of Broadcasting (RTM) Sarawak, Norjihan Yahya, who represented the Director of Broadcasting (RTM) Sarawak.
Her presence reflected the management’s continued commitment to supporting programmes centred on religious values and character development.
The Al-Quran Tadarus Programme is an annual initiative that has been organised by SARAWAKfm for many years.
Recording sessions for this year’s programme began on Feb 10 and will run until March 10, 2026, at various agencies, mosques and suraus throughout Sarawak.
The programme will be broadcast daily throughout the month of Ramadan at 10.10 pm.
Beyond strengthening the appreciation and understanding of the Al-Quran among staff, the initiative also fosters closer ties and cooperation among participating departments and agencies.
For 2026, the Al-Quran Tadarus Programme has received strategic collaboration from Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak, Yayasan Pembangunan Ekonomi Islam Malaysia (YAPEIM), Yayasan Dakwah Islamiah Malaysia (YADIM) Sarawak, HIKMAH Sarawak, Yayasan Kepimpinan Al-Bait, as well as Liansin Trading Sdn Bhd, Asajaya Cafeteria Mee Udang, Katering Dapur Suri and Anisah Msuut Puteri Cake.
The participation of these strategic partners demonstrates their strong commitment to supporting religious and community-based initiatives carried out by SARAWAKfm.
It is hoped that similar programmes will continue to be strengthened in the future to further enliven Islamic outreach efforts and nurture positive values within the broadcasting community and society at large.
