Remains of crocodile attack’s victim found

SADONG JAYA: The remains of the victim of a crocodile attack here have been found by fishermen during the search and recovery operations around Sungai Buloh.

According to reports, fishermen who assisting in the search discovered the victim’s remains at 2.22 pm this afternoon, about three kilometres away from the fire and rescue department’s (Bomba) command post.

“The remains of the victim were brought to the command post by the fishermen, and the family confirmed that it is the victim, Mohd Faizal Abdilah.

The victim’s remains are being loaded on to a police pick-up for further action.

“His body was found in good condition. However, there are bite marks around the victim’s abdomen,” said Bomba in a statement today.

The remains of the victim were handed over to police for further action, and the operations ended at 3 pm.

Chronologically, on Tuesday (Feb 17), a report was made at 12.40 pm by a witness that Faizal, 30, was seen in the water fishing and then suddenly got attacked by a crocodile.

Bomba has dispatched teams from Asajaya fire station to the scene, 18 kilometres away, located under the Sungai Buloh Bridge.

Once they arrived, the team set up a command post and several emergency services, agencies and fishermen were involved in the search and recovery operations.
