KUCHING: A Hajj briefing covering itinerary and religious guidance was held at Dewan Santapan, Surau Astana Negeri in preparation for the 1447H pilgrimage.
Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, accompanied by his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi attended the briefing session ahead of their upcoming pilgrimage.
Upon arrival, they were received by senior officials including the Senior Private Secretary to the Head of State, Datuk Seri Syed Hamzah Syed Paie, and Sarawak Tabung Haji director Amat Kassim Pait.
The session began with a travel itinerary briefing by TH Travel and Services Sarawak Regional Manager Suamdi Hiri, followed by a Hajj religious briefing delivered by Head of the Halal Management Division of JAIS and Hajj Course Guide (PEKTA) Ramzen Ambi, using the Tabung Haji Malaysia special Hajj course module, which emphasises practical training in small-group settings.
Wan Junaidi expressed appreciation to TH Travel and Services for the briefing as an important preparation ahead of the journey to the Holy Land, covering mental and spiritual readiness, religious knowledge, and practices during the pilgrimage.
Also present were their children, Sharifah Fariah and Sharifah Nong-Jasima, together with her husband Muhammad Nur Hakeem.
Others in attendance included Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Minister Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah and his wife, as well as TH Travel and Services CEO Tengku Datuk’ Badlishah Shukri Tengku Ibrahim and Tabung Haji facilitators.
