SEPANG, Selangor: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, have departed for the Holy Land earlier today (May 23) to perform the haj pilgrimage.
On hand to receive and bid them farewell at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport were Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Amar Fadillah Yusof and Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi.
Also present were Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah cum minister-in-attendance, alongside his wife, Datin Seri Zuraini Abdul Jaabar and Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development Datuk Rubiah Wang.
Prior to their departure, a prayer recital was led by Ustaz Syed Mohd Rusydi Wan Yusup, the Religious and Research Officer at the Head of State’s Office, to invoke blessings for a safe journey, good health and protection throughout their pilgrimage.
Wan Junaidi and Fauziah expressed their deepest gratitude to Allah SWT for the opportunity to perform the haj pilgrimage with their delegation, praying for a blessed and accepted haj.
